Ceangailcòd

The frugal travellers of the world are aware of a phenomenon that takes place in every town, city and backwater throughout Pax and Taisha, as well as The City of the Lights. It is so widespread that people, once they are aware of it, wonder how they ever missed it in the first place. Once it has been pointed out, however, it becomes nearly impossible to miss.
Scratched into every public facing balustrade, sign post, and road sign in civilized lands is an entire host of information for the discerning eye to ascertain. Iconography that, at first, seems indecipherable and indeed indistiguishable in many cases from regular wear and tear. Behind just the right rock at every busy crossroad is an instruction manual for the poor soul travelling throughout Tellus on just five Stilton Ounces of copper per day.   A complex system of simple pictographs has been spread throughout the Kingdoms, and
throughout the settlements of the Rhegev Desert as well, informing those with the eyes to see how to obtain their next meal, how to avoid danger, and where to talk religion in order to pick up a free meal. All in all, the guidance offered is fairly comprehensive, and is up to date more often than not. Invented and spread by the Singers at first, it has taken on a life of its own and is called, by those in the know, simply the code.
