A Dame to Die For

Giani's note
Job Letter by H Ogni

"Adventurers, Good news! Or rather, bad news...ah...Lord Harold Hartunian has been found murdered at his vacation estate in the Grey Hills! His darling daughter, the youngest of his seven children, is financially backing a family agent who has been seeking to bankroll a qualified investigation into his death. That agent, for better or worse, has hired you lot to track down whoever did this and bring the culprit to justice. The pay is very good for an inexperienced party of adventurers; y'all must be really something to have gotten this Agent lady's attention; she's pretty intense.   Keep your wits about you, I suspect we have some serious competition here. Meet each other at the Drunken Swan, in Greynor. Show the accompanying token coin to the Tavernkeep. He goes by the name of Murphy. He'll have the same coin so you can ID him.   My fee structure remains the same; the Hartunian agent paid us half in advance, so my fee is already covered, and you'll be arriving to one hundred gold, one hundred silver, and twenty platinum, stiltons.   Each.   Arrive safely, there's a fortune to be made for us here..."   Giani

Plot points/Scenes

W e begin in the city of Greynor, with a group of adventurers who have gathered together at the behest of an acquaintance named Giani, who has been helping them search for work. The job they are signing up for is (apparently) extremely profitable, and Giani enjoins them to be careful. The investigation brings them around various places in the City, and finally to the docks, and the Crossland Pax Co.     We travel the River on a succession of luxury riverboats and railway cars, meeting interesting personalities along the way as they find and clear suspects. Yeah, yeah...thanks Agatha!     We end up in Craysilt, at the Hartunian mansion and carriage house, where they ultimately meet their employer, Lady Lydia Hartunian. After a series of short adventures in the city, they will have been provided with all of the clues they need to solve the case.     The finale, assuming they solve the mystery, leaves our heroes in the City of Craysilt, the proud new owners of Hartunian Manor, and granted minor noble titles.
