Session 2 Report
General Summary
Our heroes invaded The Asters with nothing but the best of intentions, questioning Doctor Westchesterson quite firmly, indeed! Along the way, they discovered a scrap of parchment that Mend mended, mind you, which turned out to be a ceaser cypher. Haill resolved the gibberish, and further questioned the haples Doctor.
Done at the Asters, they put it in their rear views and headed on back to the The Golden Swan, where they ate, drank, and made merry as they tore through a group of mercenaries working for Kate's Lads, from 'out west'. The frontier lads had been sent to 'warn the party off' the investigation, but apparently their bosses misjudged how much force would be needed to overwhelm the party. The last man standing, while still kneeling, made a deal with Haill to tell his bosses that the party won, but are wounded from the battle and holing up at the inn to nurse their wounds.
We also met Torlake tonight, who seems to be just right for the 'bad cop' part of the partnership. The only loot so far is Molly's stolen chachkis, including a jeweled egg the size of a chicken's egg. Oh, and some potions of healing from the Asters' observatory.
