Tharmin, Deep in the Mines of Hillshire
Named not for the color of his eyes but the keen vision that they give him even in the darkest of tunnels, Tharmin left his position as
a mine supervisor in Minarick nearly fifty years ago. He never speaks of why he left and, like most Khadra, those that served on his crew say nothing ill of him despite rumors that his negligence led to the death of a dozen miners in a tunnel collapse. He kicked around the Rheuthen Basin for a score of years before arriving in Hillshire to explore the ruins of the iron mining operation that had existed there before Amzukk's failed venture.
Apparently, he liked what he saw enough to purchase the debts of a score of wretched souls in Sarnyan and re-opened the mine. In the decade and a half following, no one has accused Dark Eyes of charity with his indentured miners, but he does has a reputation for fair, if stern, hand. While he has no qualms hanging an absconder to set and example, he also bears no grudge against any particular species and has built a town far more diverse than one might find elsewhere in the Inner Seas.
