Tehlan of Clan Las'Rom

Although he is very young, Tehlan acts much older, modeling his behaviors on the oldest or most experienced individual in unfamiliar social situations. He often imitates what he thinks would be the behaviors of the wise elders from his clan and from the stories he learned when young.
Born in the Carboth Desert, but although he was from a family of horsemen, he had no natural aptitude for equestrian arts. Tehlan did discover at a young age that although horses were not his forte, knowledge and storytelling came naturally to him. At an oasis, he found a book written in Ancient Eldorian, wrapped in cloth in the ruins of a caravan destroyed by a desert sandstorm. He began to learn arcane secrets from this tome, as well as some of Tarien's history. However, in the margins he found hand written notes regarding the current attitudes towards magic in different cultures. Already viewed
as a liability and a potential embarrassment, his clan asked him to learn more, ostensibly so they would be prepared to deal with the outside world. Tehlan headed south, and wandered the lands searching for information about the arcane and divine aspects of the cultures of Tarien.
