With a long nose that would make a Nerrid proud topped by small, rounded spectacles, Ned became an astronomer partly because when looking though the his mirror and lenses, he could see clearly without his glasses. Truth be told, though he has a keen mind for mathematics other occupations, such as managing finances for a wealthy noble bored him so he jumped at the chance to take a faculty position at the University of Karradone when it was offered to him after writing his thesis.
Professor Forsythe's research into the movements of celestial objects, includes theories that Mora and Verdun influence the swells of the sea and the earth. While these have largely gone unproven and even derided by several religious orders, his theories surrounding the movements of Anderi's sun and the seasons seem to have merit. The priests have indeed built a temple at the location he specified in Drakkar and Colonel Francis Starrin has seen days without the sun in the Frozen Wastes.
