Munson Haddarack

King of Drakkar

King Munson Haddarack, first of his name, ruled the Kingdom of Drakkar for much of the second half of the seventh century. His reign saw a continued expansion of Drakkar's population - through both natural growth as Drakkarian citizens took advantage of the clean water and ample space in Azermathia to propogate prolifically, but also with a steady influx of immigrants from the Inner Seas. This latter group - often the second and third sons of merchants or minor nobles - came to Drakkar well educated, full of vigor, and eager to make their fortunes in a land that where they were not victims of primogeniture.

Like other Drakkarian kings he had to balance the politics of his era against his own ambitions. And like his predecessors, he deftly walked the thin line of war with the Kingdom of Warwick. There were a number of skirmishes, especially after the death of his eldest son, but for the benifit of all avoided all out war. He also was forced to balance his rule against the aspirations of the more conservative arms of Anderi's church. And, like those kings that followed him, he was forced to accede little bits of power here and their to the Holy Legion of Light.
