Third (and Last) Duke of Yaty
Inheriting a crushing debt from his father's civic works, Marmaduke had short reign. After learning from his accountants that it at its current repayment rate his grandson would still be paying down the debt, the Duke doubled taxes for the second time in two years on the century-old colony. Farmers, still fighting to survive in the land their grand parents had first plowed, refused to pay and took to the streets in protest.
Marmaduke plead to the Emperor for additional Legionnaires but, faced with debt of his own, the Jethrick V delcined. Less than two moons later Marmaduke hung limply from an orange tree in his own palace and the Yaty was granted its freedom from the Empire.
