First Emperor of Eldoria

A tall, thin man, with piercing blue eyes, if one believes the portraits of him that hang in the hallways of the Imperial Palace, the man born as Kern X, was known to prefer politics over war. His keen understanding of people, and honest, welcoming nature led to pair of critical alliances in Eldorian history. First, we wooed the Soulmeliti with gifts, promises of trade, and land for an embassy in Karradone, enough so that Thanerithyn Styvalhyme proclaimed his friendship for the warlord, founding one of the oldest political alliances on Tarien. Secondly, he became the first warlord to extend his control beyond the Island of Eldoria itself when he married a daughter of the Malraise Family and annexed Drythe. Building upon these successes, Kern felt secure enough both his power and the esteem of his state across Tarien to deciare himself the first sovereign of an Empire that endures to this day.
