Just barely old enough to grow a beard, Justin has already lived through a pair of long, dark, and bitterly cold winters at Fort Starrin as part of the 3rd Expeditionary Force. Competent with a spear, but not particularly accurate with a crossbow, he'd be the first to tell you that his specialty is digging ditches. "The Colonel always seems to need some dug," Justin would say, shaking his head.
He's been in several scraps with trolls and more unnatural creatures that have been seen in the Frozen Wastes and holds no romantic illusions about battle. In fact, he wants no part of it, if he can help it. Fortunately, he picked up some skill with reading and writing in his youth and is hoping to parley those skills into a support role.
Too young to shave and only marginally useful in a fight, Justin has seen plenty of violence in his two years of service with the 3rd Expeditionary Force. Gifted with a head for letters and cursed with memories of demon battles he's seeking a support role that gets him off the front lines.
