A short, portly woman in her late fifties, Janet Amora’s round face always smiles. Her blue eyes always glitter, and the curls of her dark hair always bounce. Like everyone’s favorite Aunt, she always seems to be baking. Few who have crossed Janet, however, have that impression for long. With the same friendly manner in which she serves pie at her business – the Longtail Inn, located twenty feet above the canals of Farthington, Janet relentlessly for change in the Hinterlands. Not satisfied with answers like ‘that’s just the way it is”, Janet constantly seeks to improve the quality of life for everyone. Her plans, have little regard for who is rich and who is poor – as Janet feels each should share according to their means – a fact that has earned her the animosity of certain ranchers in Pembrooke. Janet is married, with five children and twelve grandchildren, all living in the Hinterlands.
