Inn of the Rusty Sword
One of two places for weary travellers to get food and rest in Dalencroft, the inn is a welcome sight for most. With a large common room warmed with sod burning fireplaces on both ends, its proprietor Jantick Krietzin can feed dozens of hungry guards and merchants at long tables. While business is generally brisk, it is never any busier than on the nights following a dinosaur hunt, when the Inn serves its famous brontosaurs steaks. Truth be told, few in the kitchen differentiate between different types of the great lizard but all take care seasoning and roasting the delicacy.
While not generally boisterous, the clientele do come from a variety of societal strata, which can lead to the occasional fight. Like most folk in Dalencroft, Jantik rarely waits for help and keeps club behind the bar to use on any patron not willing to stand down. Like any innkeep, he also has many friends both in town and amongst his regular visitors. For the right coin, a patron can also connect with the Brotherhood of Thieves as they use the Inn as a comfortable outpost, strictly to keep watch on activities in eastern Tarien.
