Jantick inherited the Inn from his father, who had inherited it from his father, who had purchased it for a song during a lean year. It turned out that owner had a gambling problem and needed to settle some debts with the Brotherhood. At least that’s how the story went when his old grandpa had rambled on behind the same bar where Jantick now spent most of his life. Unless he was helping out in the kitchen or waiting tables, of course. Most importantly, Jantick liked to talk to the customers. Everyone had a story and those not willing to tell it certainly wanted to hear one. Jantick could do both, sometimes relating tales he heard from other patrons and sometimes just soaking it in. You never knew when a bit of gossip or a rumor could be worth a bit of gold.
