Hammerhead Bay
Named for the strangely shaped sharks that patrol these waters in huge schools, the seals and whales so prevalent in the great, cold waters of the Gulf of Kharl seldom venture into the depths of Hammerhead Bay. Apparently far deeper than its neighbor, the bay is nearly enclosed by land, leading some scholars to believe its creation stems from a celestial impact akin to that which created the Valley of the Fallen Moon though perhaps on a divine rather than mere mortal scale. Whatever its creation, the dark waters of the bay are strangely warm - especially compared to their evidently great depths, further deepening the mystery surrounding it. Perhaps fortunately, the area sees little traffic around the surrounding shores and the few Khadric fisherman that trawl the Gulf for cod have learned long ago to avoid the bay. There are rumors that a Drakshal Monk claims to have once seen a dragon swimming beneath the surface, but most take that with a grain of salt. As followers of the Way of the Dragon it was surely wishful thinking.
