Fahrom's Rest
In the heart of Carboth lies the large, mostly open-air compound known as Fahrom's Rest. Arranged as a large square, the compound is surrounded by high walls with gates in each of the cardinal directions. Guard towers watch each of the four corners and each entrance, though they are rarely manned by any beyond a token force. Within the walls, the space known as the center of Fahrom's religious organization, is filled with winding pathways through countless desert gardens, only occasionally coming upon a small shrine or structure. Given its size, however, there are ample cottages for residents and visitors alike and few travelers are turned away from the spares accommodations.
In the evenings, Dharjan story tellers regal supplicants with the great adventure tales from all across Tarien. Priests of Fahrom, general members of the Wella order circulate through the crowds, collecting donations and blessing supplicants, making these lose gatherings the most formal form of worship outside of the Carboth Desert.
The fact that this temple to their god sits in what, despite the Sands Agreement is a mostly Eldorian city irks many Dharjans. And while they recognize that Fahrom blesses travelers of all races, they often dispute the fact that Fahrom's Rest is indeed the center of worship to their god. His home, they insist, is deep within the heart of every Dharjan.
