Curthot Kerto

Flind Emperor

Second son of the infamous Curthot Cher'bit, Kerto attained the throne by challenging his elder brother to single combat and slaying him. He then reinstated the Justicars as the law of the land. Surprisingly to many, he held to his father's promises to the Elanthai Council and began building an army that would be embroiled in the conflicts of northeastern Tarien for the next several Flind generations. For Kerto, however, the decision to honor his father's agreements with a foreign nation was simple. A Flind is only as good as his word. While the insurrection was unpopular with any of the other major houses at the time, Kerto's decisions restored order to an Empire in chaos and cemented a long term economic relationship with the Elynthi that has made many houses wealthy.
