Bontipf Masonsonson

Linguistic Researcher

As a linguist and scholar, Bontipf holds several historical distinctions. First and foremost, amongst his Nerridian kin at least who are always impressed with size, his dictionaries, which translate words Nerridian, Khadric, Soulmeliti, and Eldorian are thought to not only be the most comprehensive comparisons of these languages but they also are - at 87 volumes - the largest set of books on the subject in the Nerrid National Library.

Most impressively, it is rumored that he was fluent in twenty-two different languages which, according to scholars at the University of Karradone is not only a record is it one that seems unassailable, the Human mind generally unable to process more than four or five of them. This great fluency, however, often led to strange conversations with Bontipf as he often switched effortlessly between them mid-sentence. This fact led to two Bontipf holding two more records as a guest lecturer at the University. The first is that he has the distinction of being the only lecturer who failed his entire class as no one could follow his lectures. The second, and for the students perhaps worse distinction, is that the make-up lecture lasted thirty-two consecutive days. Apparently, Bontipf talked straight through and would, many students claimed, be talking to this very day if the stool upon which he stood had not splintered, causing him to strike his head on the lectern and fall unconscious. And investigation of the incident revealed that, despite clear saw marks on the stool, it was merely an unfortunate accident that ended Bontipf guest residency at the University.
