Enkros

The village of Enkros, built between 2A.770 and 2A.780, is located on the north bank of the river Magna, is home to the Nortra'agh clan, the northernmost Paédor clan in Mirkireth. Not much is known about this shadowy town, that sits amidst the dark swamps of Magna, as very few who are not Nortra'agh are ever allowed to see it. Enkros is the home of the Nortra'agh clan chief and his most trusted warlords and warriors. The rest of the fighting Nortra'agh are usually spread out across the rest of their lands, hunting and fighting, they come together only in times of war. Enkros has been the seat of power for the Nortra'agh clan chiefs since its founding in 2A.770. The town is particularly known for it's Bracken Wheat ale, and for its slave market.
The days of the Paédor living in Enkros are usually spent hunting, drinking, eating and fighting. Warbands roam far and wide in Nortra'agh lands, looking for slaves, battle and glory, most of which is brought back to Enkros. Others farm Bracken Wheat in the swamps surrounding the town, and many of the towns forges are alight day and night, to meet the clans massive demand for armour and weapons. The alehouses also stay open all day and night, and usually heavily guarded by the chiefs warriors, to stop the general masses simply stealing the food and ale.

Industry & Trade

Most industry is centred around weaponsmiths, who supply to the warlords and their warriors, as well as the lucrative weapons smuggling trade out of Nortra'agh lands. There are also several brewhouses which make ale from the fermented plants that live in the swamp. Trade is conducted between individuals, who usually trade weapons, armour, slaves, loot, meat and other hunting trophies. Anything goes in Enkros as long as both parties agree the trade is fair. There is also a slave market in the town.

Infrastructure

The town of Enkros is a series of ramshackle huts built in the swamplands of Northern Mirkireth. It is very poor and has little industry, except for the forging of weapons. The town also has several alehouses and a slave market.
