Skiwind is a city that is heavily involved in shipping timber north to Zel. They are able to export enough timber to keep their ships in good repair and buy the other goods that are more difficult to produce in their area.

Infrastructure

The heart of the city is located on a large SkyLand with the remainder of the city below and around the SkyBridge. The SkyBridge is oriented in a northwest/southeast line.

There is a central fountain which is fed by a spring within the SkyLand. Water is routed from this fountain in six directions. Two large channels lead in opposite directions toward the SkyBridges. The other four conduits are smaller and lead to other areas of the SkyLand itself. After 500 feet (15 meters) each conduit fills a pool. From that pool, two more conduits lead away at 60 degrees from the inlet conduit and form two more pools where water collects. People gather water from these pools to use in their homes.

Districts

Skyland - This is the heart of the city and includes the Count/Countess' home, government & guilt buildings, shops, and residences.

SkyBridge - Both sides of the bridge are largely occupied by homes of farmers busy with grain and produce farming as well as raising goats and yaks for dairy and meat.

Bridge Ends - The southeast bridge end near the harbor for the Gallanwood Waves. There are warehouses and shops here. The northwest bridge is near the Rowdy River docks. There are a few shops here as well.

Under Bridge & Surrounds - The people who live in this area are involved with the timber exporting. There are paper mills and large storage areas for timber as it is prepared for sea transport to the north. There are also homes here for the people involved with this work.

Skiwind is located on the eastern edge of the Dotted Yaklands at the mouth of the Rowdy River where it empties into the Gallanwood Waves.
