Seasons of a Cycle

A single cycle of Sturth, as described in Time and Dates is broken up into five seasons of various lengths, which correspond to the strange elliptical orbit of the planet around its twin stars.

Stormfall

Wild magics rage and roil during this season, in which players almost constantly encounter some kind of Arcane Weather anomaly. At its end, the very skies seem to descend and envelop the world days or even weeks.

Everbloom

After being suffused with fog, the plants of Sturth burst with new growth. In merry spirits and with favorable weather, this season is the happiest of all. Still, locals spend this merry time preparing for the hot months ahead.

Seething Sky

For a short time, the planet travels close to the Lifelight, generating huge heat waves and lighting the very air aflame. During this short season, the lifelight never sets.

Hidden Lifelight

This strange season lacks all light as the twin stars disappear from the sky. Creatures of the night roam and strange occurrences seem more common during this most mysterious of times. All the while, the temperature steadily decreases.

Demonbite

Most strange and reviled of all the seasons, demonbite is bitterly cold and utterly miserable. At the far end of Sturth's elliptical orbit, horrid things creep from beneath the snow, and all life awaits the return of heat.
