Kassil Aldori
The General of The Land of the Silver Star and a representative for House Aldori. He is generally considered very handsome, but most nobles don't know much about him. He seems to be an honorable man, not wanting to put civilians at risk, even those in opposing nations.
There was concern in the kingdom about his qualifications for serving as General given his unwillingness to create armies and support Jamandi Aldori. It took careful efforts from Shandra Mervey to convince the population that we're preparing for more pressing issues closer to home and don't have the luxury of lending an army to our allies.
As the Brevoy Civil War loomed closer, Kassil was adamant that he would only stay if the nation publicly allied itself with House Aldori, which it did. He has since recommended raising more armies and sending them to support House Aldori.
Background
Kassil grew up on the streets of Restov as an orphan. He always looked out for others before himself, which caught Jamandi Aldori's eye. She saw a bit of herself in him and adopted him 20 years ago, taking him under her roof and teaching him everything she knew. After 15 years of training for military leadership, Kassil has become very formal and straight-laced. His motions are practiced and precise. Being an enigma, Kassil got a decent bit of attention at the Stolen Lands Coronation. Alain Orlovsky asked around about him, Kiin got his backstory from Jamandi herself, and even Kiede feigned interest. After expressing interest in serving as a General, Ragnar Garess caught him up to speed on some of the threats, unknowns, and other challenges they might be facing early on. Kassil was undeterred and expressed a willingness to serve. The only caveat was the potential need to commandeer Kesten Garess's guards for a while, but as Kesten has been training under Kassil, hopefully that won't be an issue. Kassil's appointment was a difficult choice as an Aldori leading the army of The Land of the Silver Star could cast doubt on their neutrality. However, in the interests of a positive relationship with Jamandi and needing a skilled general, Kassil's appointment was seen as a net benefit. He plans to keep in contact with Jamandi while working for The Land of the Silver Star.
