Deimos
Deimos is the smaller and outermost of the two moons of Mars and acts as an anchor to the space station of the same name. The station houses many of the Martian upper and upper middle class, and is often the heart of the research and development sphere of the MDF. As Dayičin likes to put it "Those who order killing, party on Phobos, those who help the killing live on Deimos , those that do the killing survive on Mars." As such the Martian Naval Engineering Academy on Deimos leads much of the technical development with the MDF, as is the moons majority owner the Deimos Heavy Industries LLC.
Though technically not classified as a company station, almost everything is owned by DHI or are employed at DHI. DHI's factors on world build most of the AI run mechanical soldiers and AI run lancers being developed on Deimos itself. The MNEA meanwhile lead the cutting edge field of AI research and both organizations are tightly linked along with an incestuous relationship with the MDFs Admiralty board, which shares many members with both the DHI and MNEA boards of directors.
Despite being a company station in all but name, quality of life on Deimos is actually considered quiet high, and most residents claim to have satisfactory lives. Geography
The moon itself is a largely smooth porous rock at its surface with an inner carbonaceous core, which has mostly been hollowed out to mine it for fuel which was used in factories on Deimos and Mars and replaced with industrial sites within the moon itself. Beyond the moon the station spreads out in habitation and solar power generating wings paralleled by shipwright arms where lancers and automated vessels are build. The overall size of moon not including its arms is a surprisingly small 15 km × 12.2 km × 11 km
History
Deimos was first looked at as a fuel station. Deimos Heavy Industry was formed as a start up company with the intent of gaining the rights to mine Deimos and won with their promise to keep Deimos form mostly intact. They made a fortune fueling the heavy industries on Mars that were key to the red planets terraformation. Deimos however reinvested it's earning into Deimos itself, building and industrial and research station out of the ever more hollow moon. As they had promised to keep its surface intact, however no one said anything about using the moon's surface to host ship wrights, metallurgy plants, and corporate labs. This DHI managed to save itself from irrelevancy.
When The First Wave struck, Deimos had lots of industrial value, but little in the means of population, and thus the DHI was in a position to shift from civilian heavy industry to military. The company built and refitted several vessels over the course of the war while being fairly close to the front line and made a fortune in naval contracts.
When the MDF split off, DHI read the writing on the wall and joined them, swearing to focus on the war effort and accepting the MDFs many IOUs. Doing so they earned much favor and lots of interest with the new government. Thus they came out ahead. From there DHI built the MNEA, and expanded to become the premier in research and AI tech, promoting the idea of AI soldiers being powerful tools against the Xenophage, their tech becoming the favorite fascination of the First Admiral Maḥrem Aris.
Modern day Deimos has become the DHI's money making machine, being a near symbiotic organ of the government itself. Deimos seems to be no where near stopping, and though its science falls behind both the Human Elevation Foundation, and the Celestial Connection, their AI research is giving the others a run for their money.

Tourism
Deimos is considered a popular spot for traders stopping near Mars without wishing to stay long. Its more a popular rest stop and trade hub than it is a specific vacation spot. However it is a popular spot for immigration for the Martians who can moved onto the station hoping for a better life.
