Shiloh System
Located on the very edge of Systems Alliance space, the Shiloh System was a contested area during both the Gor Wars and the Black Scourge Conflict. Even after the peace agreement between the Gor Dominion and the Systems Alliance, the Shiloh system remained a highly dangerous place for industry and investments, having no central government to enforce peace and order. For this reason, Shiloh remained relatively under-developed compared to the rest of the Systems Alliance.
With the recent restrictions on Drift travel, the Shiloh System has been almost entirely cut off, forced to depend on its own resources. This has, in particular, driven up the cost of energy and fuel for starships. Combined with a lack of military presence, with only a handful of ships from the fifth task-force present in the system, the Shiloh system has become a wild and almost lawless location.
