Alarm klaxons echo through the station like electronic bells tolling for the dead. The latest Techno Union attack hit one of the main fuel lines, which collapse a small portion of the docking ring.

Maintenance crews work at a feverish pace, stabilizing and rebuilding Arcadia with as much efficiency as they can. But they aren’t machines and so recovery is slow.

In the damaged portion of the docking ring, the svelte shuttle, Morticia, lay battered from debris. Her main wings crumpled, cockpit smashed, and her power core cycled down before it overloaded.

Is the AI’s main core intact? No one knows or can tell from the damage. Rushlight hurried to get a backup drive and find out. If intact, he intended to get a backup. Something, anything before the Spartans pressed their claim that Morticia had been stolen and take her to their ship.

Meanwhile, aboard the Banana Republic, S'reee hunches over a console lit by a single overhead light. His fingers dance over the controls almost too fast to see, while his eyes grow harder with each passing second. Anger was not a foreign concept to the Herglic, just not one that he expressed outward or in the same way as the rest of the crew.

Code finished, he tapped a key as he clenched his jaw in stony silence. Among the communications traffic, his data packet was transmitted toward the Spartan Imperium Corvette, Vivisector.

Notes

Important questions that need to be answered:
  • Who planted all these bombs?
  • Who drugged certain key individuals, discarded their gear and armor, and vanished with them?
  • Where were the prisoners taken?
  • Who, working across the Galaxy, is targeting the experimental sole pod of Clone Troopers designed to be female ARC Troopers?
  • WHO TOOK DIZZY?!?
  • Are her supposed "buddies" from the Banana Republic in on it?
  • Is Morticia dead?
  • Was the murder of Morticia intended by whoever planted these bombs?
  • Did the organizer of this attack know that Morticia used to carry the former Director of Tapani Imperial Security on his most secret missions, the ones concealed even from the rest of the Tapani Imperium government?
