There has been a long tradition of integrating a droid's mind with a ship's body. Records from countless cultures over the ages list the accounts in detail. But they all warn about making sure the droid's programming has specific protocols. Guardrails and guides to help keep the droid in check. This is because once upon a time in the Sith Empire, that just wasn't done. Droid minds were placed in ships and given only a burning desire to serve the Sith Emperor. Almost to the level of worshipping the Emperor as the living Force itself.

Celestima was one of those. This droid mind, or 'Ship AI', was the Sith Empire's greatest of those droid minds. She was also, in the end, their 'Destroyer Saint'.
