The Church of Many Colors Organization in Star Tiger | World Anvil

The Church of Many Colors

With the steadily growing numbers of people having the ability to see into The God Realm, some has taken to worship the Interstellar Gods, calling them direct proof of divinity.
These people have small gatherings in most systems, and can not yet be considered an organized faith, but a few planets have taken to them, and their gathering at Century has erected an impressive monastery, so organization may be just around the corner.

Structure

Every presence of The Church is its own entity. The goal of self-sustaining monasteries lead by the community and guided by the Gods through the local Oracle.

Culture

The Church of Many Colors believes in community and bonds between people.
They believe in a hard work ethic within practically applicable vocations.
But they are just as focused on celebration and relaxation between work.
They have a strong tie to animals and a focus on natural remedies.
Followers are never enhanced by cybernetics or gene-mods, as they consider it a departure of humanity and a weakening of the soul.

Public Agenda

Though there is a lot of focus on seeking guidance and self-improvement, followers of the Church do actively want to bring all into the fold.
They believe they see a part of this world that all should learn about and live to honor.

Assets

As every gathering is its own contained entity, so are the assets that they hold. Most common new members give what they can bring with them from their pasts, and many do actual work in their city and share the pay with the community.

Mythology & Lore

In the eyes of the Church, the Interstellar Gods that they witness today are the same ones that others saw in Earth's ancient history, meaning that old lore from ancient texts are given new light and context. They believe that these mighty beings are actively trying to guide the lesser beings to better lives and hopefully once join with their Gods in the afterlife.
Different church communities have different focus on texts and gods depending on a lot of outside factions - which God(s) do they see, how can the texts on those gods be understood etc.

Ethics

Diligence is seen as a possitive trait

Worship

One worships through a life of dedication to the tenets, but prayer and meditation both have their place in the shrines and temples.

Priesthood

The priests and monks are distinguished by their multicolored dresses, in response to the ever changing colors seen through the Veil Sight.

Granted Divine Powers

Moon Skin and Veil Sight are both seen as powerful gifts granted by the Interstellar Gods themselves.

Political Influence & Intrigue

So far the church has stayed out of big politics. They voice their grievances if they consider people, flora or fauna mistreated by the big corporations though.

I made this world because my mind keeps rambling, and instead of stopping it, I'm riding the wave.
It started with a picture in my mind of a tiger man in a small spacecraft following a giant tiger in space, in the tone of old saturday morning cartoons and the Heavy Metal animated movie.
Then came the idea of his occational ally, a woman in space flying a small asteroid. The more I wrote on her, the more I got intrigued by the past, I deviced.
Right now the flow is focused on her background - namely all related to The Genesis Project.
I do all of the writing and almost all of the drawing myself at this point.
My hope for Star Tiger is a published story or a graphical novel, but my big dream is an animated show.
