SoLA Session 3: 'As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly'

K was the first to wake up on Christmas Eve at Gilda's haunted mansion, discovering a letter from Maximillian Strauss about how the newly awakened mage Tanya had missed her flight back to San Francisco and that the Consilium would be expecting her back soon. K confronted Ezekiel and the others about this news, clearly not happy about the ghouling and feeding habits of her coterie. She left to blow off some steam at a rock show while the rest of the coterie headed out to retrieve some hunter's blood. Tanya could wait. After playing a couple sets K got a surprise call from Stella O'Neal, who had flown down to LA for a surprise visit. K drove out to pick up her drug-dealing friend from the airport, and she quickly pieced together that Cesca had lured Stella down here to use as a bargaining chip against K. When she confronted Cesca at Elysium, the Toreador explained how she merely wanted their old relationship back. Cesca had plans to take over as the new Prince of Las Vegas after Moe Green's death, and she wanted K by her side on her rise to power. The young vampire couldn't help but agree, agreeing to get back together on the condition that Nadiya would be appointed as the new Sheriff of Vegas. Meanwhile the rest of the coterie drove down to Lakewood where some hunters were rumored to be hiding out. The ancillae caught the hunters completely by surprise, painting the shabby apartment a bright shade of red and gray in a matter of seconds. The hunters were apparently debating whether they should go after the vampires of LA or focus on someone named Cella Vivaldi, but either way the city's underworld would be safe for another night. Needless to say there was plenty of blood for the coterie to collect, and they made it back to Gilda's mansion a couple hours before midnight. K arrived not long after once she had found a hotel for Stella to crash at, another showdown brewing between her and the older kindred...
