Eastrun Giraffe
Description
Eastrun is a single street town halfway between Three Forks and Salvager's Respite The town is home to 7 fishing families, their homesteads built in a line along a shallow stretch of the Athanac River that has been used heavily for spawning by the local fish populations. The townspeople collect and store the fish, and trade with passing caravans as well as a monthly supply caravan that come through town to get the other things they need to surive. The town's General Store serves to provide the townsfolk with what they need in exchange for fish, which the store then trades to the caravans.
History
The town began as a small hunter gatherer campsite, where a specific groups of nomads would stay during the early rping to fish. As time wore on, and the Saikar began to assert their influence, the town became a permanent fishing settlement. When the Saikar attempted to move in to the Frostbarrow Coast officially, moving on Three Forks from Salia's Folly, the town joined in the defense. Five families were lost in the protests and geurilla resistance, permanently reducing the size of the hamlet, and flavouring the people's opinion of the Saikar.

General Store
The town's general store is operated by the town's elected mayor, who becomes responsible for the acquisition of the supplies Eastrun needs to survive. For going on ten years now, this had been Duthrokk, an Orc who was on the run from The Shadowed Eyes of Saikar. He is a large orc, dressed in furs and leathers that seem to have been acquired here. He has a mostly friendly disposition, desppite his deep, gravelly voice.
However, with the untimely demise of Duthrakk, Giraffe Punk has appointed Timothy Charmelle as the new mayor, and thus operator of this store.
Dark Legacy Story Points
- After Murray flicked a medallion at him, Timothy Johansen's son Jonathan is now a die hard Giraffe Punk fan
- Giraffe Punk gets suspicious vibes off of Duthrakk, and on their way through town discover he has been secretly harvesting gold out of the river
- Giraffe Punk ambushes Duthrakk and kills him
- They appoint Timothy as the new mayor and owner of the General Store, and write on the store's sign Eastrun Giraffe, and try to change the name of the town to Eastrun Giraffe.
- The town has been introduced to the concept of goods for money, instead of a barter system. It takes a few weeks, but eventually individual townspeople start slipping out to the dam alone at night to get some gold. When some people began asking Timothy about attracting merchants to buy things, others began taking note and trying to get their share of the gold. The town rapidly pivoted from barter system to money for goods. This has resulted in some small squabbles, but mostly, the town has created a system to balance out the distribution of gold to everyone, but their illiteracy and low intelligence led them to forget completely about Giraffe Punks wish for them to leave gold for them.
- The General Store has managed to sell a third of the Giraffe Punk merch from the shop
- Eastrun has been unofficially renamed to Eastrun Giraffe
