Athanac River
Description
The Athanac River branches off from the Onyx River that spills out from the The Onyx Shield at Three Forks, heading east and eventually north into the Frostbarrow Sea. This river is of an average depth and width, moving with surprising speed for the first portion of its run before it slows in the flatlands around Eastrun, meandering its way to the coast. It is glacier water, and spending extended amounts of time in its frigid waters is dangerous.
Dark Legacy Story Points
- Duthrokk the orc built a dam several hours upstream from the town of Eastrun and used it as a catchall for chunks of gold coming out from the mountains and mines upriver
- Giraffe Punk uncovered this, and ambushed and killed Duthrakk at this dam, then relocated it closer to Eastrun and informed the townspeople, hoping they would harvest it for them.
