Special Forces Joint Staff

In order to give more independence and flexibility to special forces, this body under the authority of the Joint Chiefs of Staff aims to coordinate the actions of the special forces thanks to the different commands under its direction. Despite its independence, the Special Forces Joint Staff remains subordinate to the Joint Chiefs of Staff and serves mainly to distribute its personnel where they are requested by the armed forces.

Structure

The Special Forces Joint Forces is headed by the Chairman of the Special Forces Joint Staff who is himself subject to the authority of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, even if the former has independence on the determination of the march to follow for an operation. The leaders of the two special forces branches, the Chief of the Task Force and the Maritime Commandos, lead each the LANDSPECCOM and the NAVSPECCOM, they report to the Chairman of the Special Forces Joint Staff.

Naval Special Warfare Command

The Naval Special Warfare Command or NAVSPECCOM is a part of the Special Forces Joint Staff and led by the Chief of the Maritime Commandos. The tasks of this command is to make the link between the other commands as well as the Special Forces Joint Staff, approve or refuse the transfert of Maritime Commandos' units to them when they request it, apply the directives of the Special Forces Joint Staff and ensure coordination between the Maritime Commandos with the rest of the republican armed forces.

Land Special Warfare Command

The Land Special Warfare Command or LANDSPECCOM is a part of the Special Forces Joint Staff and led by the Chief of the Task Force. The tasks of this command is to make the link between the other commands as well as the Special Forces Joint Staff, approve or refuse the transfert of Maritime Commandos' units to them when they request it, apply the directives of the Special Forces Joint Staff and ensure coordination between the Task Force with the rest of the republican armed forces.

Public Agenda

The purpose of the Special Forces Joint Staff is to coordinate all special forces of the Republic and to grant a certain independence to the two branches, even if the orders of the Joint Chiefs of Staff take precedence over those of the Special Forces Joint Staff. Finally, it needs to assign the units of the two branches through the nine regional commands.

Assets

The Special Forces Joint Staff sits at the Habashiya Center, in the city of Addis Ababa on Earth. However, it does not own these places since everything belongs to the Department of Defense who take care of most of the armed forces' administration.
