Air Force

The Air Force is the defensive air force of the Federal Republic, it is the third branch in terms of equipment as well as personnel within the armed forces and is responsible for the planetary air defense on fully colonized planet or moon. In this context, it has equipment to cope with many environments, in particular those stationed on planets or moons with low gravity which requires aircraft closer to spaceships. However, almost all celestial bodies under Air Force responsibility are habitable with near-Earth gravity.

Structure

The Air Force is led by the Chief of Staff of the Air Force which has a very important role in the Joint Chiefs of Staff by being in charge of the Air Command or AIRCOM along with the Vice Chief of the Air Force. This command has a more administrative than operational role by managing the material and human resources available to the branch. The Air Force is one of the four main branches of the armed forces, its purpose is to be a planetary defensive force by providing air support to the Army in the event of an enemy invasion.

Hierarchy

Like all branches of the armed forces, the Air Force assigns its commissioned and non-commissioned officers to military ranks depending on their level of responsibility within the branch. Unlike non-commissioned officers who do not require professional training, commissioned ones must attend the Military Academy of the Federal Republic to obtain a rank equal or higher to Second Lieutenant.

Public Agenda

The purpose of the Air Force is to provide full air support to the Army during possible attacks on Republican planets by being an aircraft reserve force already on the planet. With the aim that if the Navy is defeated in orbit, the troops on the ground are not deprived of air support.

Assets

The Air Force uses the Eagle interceptor, Hamama light fighter and Condor heavy fighter as combat aircrafts, the Nuzzle as a bomber and many others that are necessary for the proper functioning of the Air Force. To accommodate all aircraft, this branch has many bases on the planets of the Republic to ensure their air defense, it happens that these are often adjacent to one of the Army.
