Arc Gate

The Arc Gate is stabilization of a Spatial Tangent, an aspect of the Holzmaan Effect. It allows the ships not equipped with Space Fold Drives to travel between distant locations without needing to dock with a Starliner.

Utility

An Arc Gate allows for faster than light transit between two fixed points without needing to perform the costly operation of folding space. Rather, space is folded only during establishment of the connection of the gates, after which, the gates are able to hold onto the Spatial Tangent even after space-time mends itself. This allows for easy transport of supplies and goods between colonies.
An Arc Projector is a special type of ship that allows for an easy linkage between two points, not requiring the construction of a gate on the far end of the system. Instead, it serves as one end of the link, the other linking to another Arc Projector or gate.
