Holzmaan Effect

The Holzmaan Effect is a scientific unified theory relating to the repellent force of subatomic particles and the manipulation of space-time. While discovered of the Akhaale, most interstellar civilizations have a basic understanding of it, as it is an essential component of Space Fold Drives.

Manifestation

The theory consists of five interrelated principles and forces

• Point-Source Nodes: the "seeds" for each of the other effects; they have no physical existence but do occupy definite locations. There is a finite number of them in the universe, and attempts to create artificial ones result in entropic annihilation.
• Holzmaan Waves: were the one-dimensional incarnations of the HE. They are an effective means of real-time communication between star systems, effectively "interstellar radio".
• Planar Effect: are the two-dimensional incarnations and have been used as the defensive shields.
• Suspensor-Nullification effect: is the three-dimensional incarnation. This is the effect used for folding space.
• Spatial Tangent: is the four-dimensional incarnation. The interaction between it and the third-dimensional incarnation is what is used to make instaneous jumps between systems.
