Guild of Quest Givers Organization in Soulbank | World Anvil

Guild of Quest Givers

Many beings have experimented with "gamification" as a means of creating entertainment, and with the ascension of Argon Entertainment, this is becoming more prevalent. The Neon Chapter of the Adventurers Guild is particularly noted for accepting "quests," which Argon Entertainment readily seized on. Some of the Process actors, however, have decided to push their own agenda by manipulating the Adventurer's Guild through these quests. Currently a small band, they surreptitiously leech small prizes and Coin off of Argon to hand out as rewards for fulfilling their quests. Members are commonly seen wandering about the Peer-to-Pier with holo icons over their head to attract attention.

Public Agenda

Publicly, the Quest Givers appear to be just a game mechanic of Argon Entertainment that's developed a minor degree of autonomy. Usually, Argon is happy to view and broadcast the resulting "adventures."

Tier Variation:

Tier 1: Quest givers present at social areas of the Pier, seeking to exploit the gamified generosity of Adventurers.

Tier 3: Unified stories to encourage User participation in their agena, quietly pushing the idea of Process as a people in need. Local Users are caught up in the resulting roleplay more than their original lives. Competent "helper" Strikers to assist Users in their quests and spy on them.

Tier 5: High User engagement results in the rare time a Process-dominated faction pulls Soulbank's strings. The line between reality and roleplay breaks down and Users end up serving the Guild's interests for abstract rewards. Process everywhere appreciate being treated like people.
