Humans

Humans are the most prominent species in the world. Due to their jack-of-all-trades nature and their missing inherent attraction to a specific virtue (like magic for the elves or craftsmanship for the dwarves), they are often described by other races as "the blank race". Humans are the masters of improvisation and adaptation and are able to excel in the most diverse situations.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Humans have bodies of varying height and have naturally unremarkable muscularity, which can be greatly enlarged through rigorous training. They have hair colors ranging from blonde and red to brown and black, and their eyes are typically colored shades of blue, green or brown.

Genetics and Reproduction

A human pregnancy lasts nine months. Humans are able to reproduce with any other species found on Somelion.

Growth Rate & Stages

Humans typically reach puberty between ages nine to seventeen, in which they reach sexual maturity. They typically stop developing around the age of twenty-five. Humans visibly age throughout their life; it takes no effort to guess the approximate age of a human based on their appearance. Often, at the age of fourty to fifty, their hair starts to lose its color, often becoming white or grey in the process. At this point, humans also often start to lose their hair, with males more frequently than women. At the age of sixty-five, humans are considered old and their physical abilities start to drastically deteriorate.
