Martian Republic
The Martian Republic (MR) is the governing body of Mars and consists of the Executive Branch headed by the Secretary General, the legeslative Martian Senate, and the High Court of the Martian judicial system. Established in 2574 after the Second Martian Revolution, the Martian Republic replaced the Lunaren controlled Martian Provincial Representation Board.
Structure
Executive Branch
The Executive branch is headed by the Secretary General, and consists of two Under Secretaries and the General Cabinet. The Secretary General can serve a maximum of five, five year, terms and is elected along with the Under Secretary running mates through general vote from the Martian people.

Senate
The Martian Senate is made up of Senator groups from each district of the Republic that meet at the capital building <CAPITOL> in <CITY>. The Senate is chaired and headed by the Martian Senate House Speaker, who calls bills to vote and runs the operations of discussion within the forum.
Districts
What started as small settlements eventually grew to large enough populated areas that the government stopped reffering to them as cities and started calling them districts, huge areas of not only the surface, with chains of domes containing skyscrapers and cities themselves, but deep, sometimes miles, underground in leveled facilities large enough to hold small towns.

Culture
Despite treaties, trade, and prolonged peace between the two nations, Martians have a deep dislike for Lunarens. A dislike the stems from the end Lunar Revolutionary War and the destruction of destruction of Phobos. When Lunaren ships land at Martian ports, the crews usually try to do thier business and leave as soon as possible.
