Elystria
In one moment I was running through a lost place, opening rusty doors, and in the next moment, I suddenly found myself in the middle of a lush forest. There was a big Japanese-looking shrine in the distant. The air was warm, pleasant, and had a scent of spring in it. I calmed down quickly and began walking down the little path that led me to the shrine. There I found her. She invited me.Elystria is the Godrealm on the Inner Plane of the goddess Goldie Kitsune.
Geography
Elystria is a realm of boundless tranquility, an endless expanse of lush, peaceful forests where rolling hills rise gently between sprawling glades. Towering trees throw their vast shadows over parts of the forests, creating a playful yet dangerous twilight. The air is filled with the soft murmurs of rustling leaves and the distant trickling of water, as countless small rivers and streams weave through the landscape, carving playful paths through the land. Guests can hear the chatter and the giggles of far distant Kinari Shrine Maidens, as well as giggles of the playful goddess preparing her next game.
Scattered throughout the vastness of Elystria are glades of varying sizes, each adorned with elegant shrine structures built in ancient Japanese and East Asian styles. These shrines, with their curved roofs, intricate wooden carvings, and serene courtyards, serve both as places of worship and as living quarters for the realm’s inhabitants. The scent of incense and fresh blossoms lingers in the air, mixing with the warmth of sacred lanterns that glow like captured starlight. Symbols of foxes and tails can be found everywhere in these shrines. From big fox and fox girl statues, over ornaments of tails wrapping around the pillars to wall-filling portraits of the golden foxes that rule this realm.
These shrines are the centers of life in Goldie's realm.
Despite its mischievous nature, Elystria is a haven of warmth and harmony. It is a place where shrine maidens gather to share stories, where guests rest in the embrace of soft cushions and warm tea, and where Goldie’s playful spirit lingers in every rustling leaf, beckoning travelers to lose themselves, only to be found again in her ever-welcoming embrace.
Localized Phenomena
Elystria is a realm untouched by the burdens of time. Within its golden twilight, neither decay nor aging exists. One could remain here for centuries and never feel the weight of a single passing day. Hair may grow longer, and bodies may subtly change, but true aging holds no power in this divine sanctuary. It is a place of eternal youth and renewal, where even mortals can experience an existence free from the relentless march of time.
However, Elystria is not a realm meant to be navigated by outsiders. Only Goldie’s kin, the shrine maidens, her daughters, and the goddess herself, can traverse its winding paths with ease. Guests who wander away from the safety of the shrine grounds quickly find themselves lost in an endless maze of trees and glades as if the very land itself playfully conspires against them. Those who stray too far are bound to stumble into one of Goldie’s many charming yet mischievous traps. Perhaps they will be caught in the gentle grasp of a floating bubble, their body growing light as they are lifted playfully into the air. Perhaps a hypnotic golden fox will cross their path, its gleaming eyes luring them into a dreamlike trance before leading them right back to where they began. Or, if they are especially unlucky, or lucky, depending on their perspective, one of Goldie’s shrine maidens may decide to personally retrieve them, giggling all the while as they are swept back into the goddess’s embrace.
Nature in Elystria is a paradise of endless abundance. Trees bow heavy with the juiciest fruits, their sweetness more divine than anything found in the material world. Streams flow with crystalline waters so pure that one could drink directly from them and feel revitalized with every sip. Yet, all within this realm is a manifestation of the goddess’s will, and with that comes a touch of her playful trickery. Not all fruit is as innocent as it appears, some carry Goldie’s mischievous magic, and a single bite may bring about unpredictable transformations. A tail sprouting where there was none before, a shift in form to something softer, fluffier, more fitting for the goddess’s domain.
Climate
Elystria is a realm of eternal, golden summer. The air is always pleasantly warm, carrying the soft scent of flowers and fruit, yet never oppressive or stifling. Gentle breezes weave through the trees, rustling the leaves like whispered laughter. Evenings bring a soothing coolness, perfect for relaxation beneath the endless twilight sky. The nights are neither too dark nor too bright but instead glow softly with a golden-pink hue, as if the sky itself is wrapped in the goddess’s embrace.
Rain in Elystria is a tranquil, steady affair. There are no violent storms or raging winds, only soft, warm showers that wash over the land like a tender caress. The rain is pure and refreshing, trickling down the leaves with a soothing melody, leaving everything glistening in its wake. Puddles reflect the sky in shimmering golds and pinks, and those who step in them often find a pleasant tingle of magic lingering on their skin.
However, not all weather in Elystria is ordinary. The realm is infused with Goldie’s playful spirit, and sometimes, the skies decide to indulge in a bit of fun.
On certain days, the clouds dissolve into shimmering soap bubbles, drifting down in playful cascades. These enchanted bubbles are impossibly light, popping with a delightful giggle upon touch, or, if one isn’t careful, carrying them gently upward, making them float like feathers until they find something to grab onto. Trapped ones can stay days inside these bubbles before they float back to the ground, always close to the shrines, or directly into the arms of a waiting goddess.
Then there are the lifting winds, whimsical gusts that weave through the forests, catching unsuspecting visitors in their embrace. These winds do not push or pull, but rather lift, making those caught within them feel completely weightless. With no control over their movement, they are carried playfully through the air, tumbling softly as if in a dream before being set gently down in a new location—often conveniently close to one of Goldie’s shrines, as if the realm itself is nudging them back to safety.
Most curious of all, however, are the occasional plush storms. These rare, fluffy whirlwinds sweep across the glades with an air of mischief, their swirling mass made up of tiny, soft tufts of fur. At first, they seem harmless, like nothing more than a warm, ticklish breeze. But any who are caught in their embrace quickly find the magic seeping into their bodies, reshaping them into something more appropriate for Elystria. Ears twitch, tails sprout, and features soften, as those affected become part of Goldie’s ever-growing family of foxgirls. The storm never lingers long, just enough to leave behind a few more giggling, fluffy-tailed women. While these transformations are of shorter durations, often vanishing after a few days slowly, they give those who were caught in them a feeling of what it would be to become one of Goldie's kin, often laying the foundation for another adorable human softly asking Goldie to fully become one of her Kinari, or even one of her daughters.
Fauna & Flora
There are different types of inhabitants in Elystria besides Goldie Kitsune herself. First are her daughters and direct offsprings, the Koganari. They may not appear many, but when one of them appears in one of the shrines, they are for sure the center of attention.
Far higher in number are the Shrine Maiden Kinaris, adorable foxgirls who live in the shrines and the forests around them. They are often the first who appear for visitors and they are the ones that take care of guests of the goddess.
Besides these 3 natural inhabitants, there are also guests of the goddess, often Humans from Earth who were invited by the goddess into her realm. Many have chosen to stay and live together with the other residence forever in the goddess realm.
