Badge of Valour: Sleipner

The Badge of Valour: Sleipner is awarded to those individuals and units of 5122nd Imperial Army who are deployed into an active combat zone anywhere within the Sleipner Sector after the opening of the Great Rift.

Typically, Badges of Valour are issued once to any individual or unit, but in light of the change in the approach that Staff Colonel Juha Jussila is taking, with smaller operations, it has been authorised that any units participating in any of the below operations who have already received the medal, can add an additional service star in recognition of their service:

Operation EDDA

Significance

In game terms, this is a fluff award, and is given for any unit or character which has been used in a 9th or 10th edition 40k game. The additional of service stars is in light of the Astra Militarum Tour of Duty mechanic used in narrative games
