Krrelkon
"Of all the things I have seen through my wanderings, I had seen little as fearsome as the Krrelkon Armies. A hoard of stout and hardy folk who, while seeming disorganized, work alongside one another fantastically, moving like an ocean tide or river. I got the honor of watching one of the Red Battalions train and was caught off guard by how-... informal it was. I was so used to strict generals and guardsmen, but the Dwarves don't believe in that. They enforce one another through kinship and encouragement."Krrelkon live each day as their last and, being warriors at heart, it very well may. Growing up among other Ember Dwarves leaves one with a sense of family and kinship. As such, many Krrelkon are jolly folk who would do anything to ensure the survival and progression of their group or battalion, whether thats by bringing a little light into a grim situation, a fire in a partner's belly, or a hope in a lost soul. These men make great leaders and can back up any threat they may make. To a Krrelkon, there is no offense greater than attacking an ally or using backhanded tactics. If you fight, you fight up front and personal, your strength against another, only then you can see who is superior. Assassins and bandits do not deserve the air they breathe for the way they face their problems. As such, many thieves and liars gain little mercy from the hearty dwarves.- Spaeron's Journal
Basic Information
Anatomy
Ember dwarves, like many, are short and stocky. However, as their name may suggest, they can be defined from other dwarves by the deep glow that emanates from their veins. A subtle hint of light that demands attention to the bright and joyous beings.
Growth Rate & Stages
Many dwarves are known to reach adulthood around the age of 50, which is usually cause for a party or celebration as they begin their 'The Growing Trials'.
Ecology and Habitats
These dwarves, used to adventuring and exploring, have no quarrel with changing habitat, however, they may begin to get a little stir-crazy if they are unable to visit their subterranean homes every now and again.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The dietary needs of dwarves can be considered a bit strange as rotted food or items not typically considered food still give nutrition. This is due to the fact that, deep down, they are still golems that only need energy to function. Alcohol, which is a staple of dwarven passtime, is also shown to be a nutritional source for them as well.
