Maoden

He stood there, regal and freed from his old chains. No longer a construct, a golem to serve a people. He was alive, a being to serve a purpose. The first to instigate war, the first to take flesh, the first dwarf; it was no surprise that Maolos chose the man as his champion. His birthline would be just as brave, compulsive, and tactical as he was. That, mixed with the raw power of Maolos, would make them unstoppable in battle.
- Children of Hope
Revered for their place as war tacticians, a Maoden by the name Gemmk is almost always brought up when people talk about the conclusion of the Dark War. The Maoden hold a strong ability at their disposal, the ability to quickly break down the components of a battle or war, and neutralizing the biggest threat or obstacle. As such, a group or faction with a Maoden at their helm will almost always win a fight. This ability also comes into play during political debates, arguments, and interrogations.   Most Maoden have a strong code that they follow, however, when the stakes are high and people's lives are on the line, that code flies out the window and they will do anything to ensure the safety of their people. This creates a compulsive face for the race, boasting a strong morale, but losing face when it is tested against their allies.
