People of the mountains, dwarves were once golems that gained sentience and split away from their creators, running to the mountains for protection. These golems, created as crafters, guards, and servants, thrived in the mountains, where they could mold the stone into more of themselves. It wasn't long before a whole race of golems thrived. There came a point where the golems wanted to be recognized as their own race and waged war against the other races of Everisa. With the help of Maolos, the god of war, the golems were successful and given the racial title of dwarves. These days, however, dwarves are no longer made of rock and clay, but flesh and bone. Long ago, Maolos was sent to kill another god and spread her essence across Everisa. However, something went wrong and Maolos was weakened and unable to finish his job. The dwarves, seeing their god in trouble, planned out a trap involving runestones and incapacitated the goddess for Maolos, who finished his task and bless the golem race with life, to be built of flesh and bone rather than stone and clay. These days, the dwarves live their lives merrily and without regret. They keep their primal functions as crafters and create the highest quality clothes, weapons, armor, and more while excelling in battle. There are three dwarven races, each based from a primal golem task. Grrogn, or 'Mountain Dwarves', are crafters and merchants at heart. Krrelkon, or 'Ember Dwarves', are warriors and mercenaries deep within. and Jollgn, or 'City Dwarves', only seek to live a simple life with no boudaries.
