Wyrmmeadow Oracle
Now, this is a myth you've probably never heard before. It's old and almost completely forgotten. I only encountered it because I like to dig through the less used collections of libraries. It was written in this really beautiful book, really old.
Where was I? Oh yes, the myth. Let me tell you about the oracle that one was found at the Wyrmmeadow...
There is an ancient myth about an oracle that lives in Wyrmmeadow. Most of the details are lost to the ages, but sometimes someone stumbles over an old manuscript where it's mentioned.
Since so many details are gone, nobody knows if there's something special you have to do to make use of the oracle, who the oracle is, or what kind of oracle it is in the first place. The few who have dared the dangers of cat mauling to get to the meadow in search of the oracle have to return empty handed. If the oracle is still there, there has to be some kind of trick.
That is, if there ever was an oracle there in the first place. It might've been just a myth, after all.
Here's where the myth gets hard to decipher. That's the problem with really old books. The text has faded until it was barely readable. I had severe problems deciphering exactly what the oracle was. All I could get from it was that whomever it was, the oracle was wise beyond our mere mortal minds.
So, what can the oracle be?
Historians who have studied the myth have tried to patch together the few details that are still in existence. There's not much there, but what the few scraps of information can tell about the oracle is that it possessed a level of wisdom that surpassed anyone alive. There's also reasons to believe that the oracle is immortal.
These small scraps of information does limit the types of beings that the oracle could be. If the oracle exists, the main theory is that it is a dragon. This is strengthened by the myth about the Wyrmmeadow monster, where one of the more popular theories say there's a dragon living in the meadow. But dragons don't frequent Shireon, do they?
