Mage Elysia Parma
Elysia Parma is the Silver Mage of The Great Circle . She is a friend and confidant of Mage Ewan Hazelrig, the White Mage and a mentor to his daughter, Mage Ariana Hazelrig .
Mage Elysia Parma is a longtime veteran of the wars against the raiding Ryuven and she has a pragmatic viewpoint on most points.
Elysia came as a young woman from the countryside to Alham to seek training for her ability, but faced resistance due to her late start and lack of education (and perhaps some old-fashioned prejudice against rural folk). There are several dramatic stories of how she overcame these obstacles to win a place as an apprentice, but most are routinely denied by both Elysia and others now in the Circle who were present at that time. (Memo: I have heard that Mage Odderman might, if sufficiently drunk, share his recollection. Still watching for an opportunity.)
Elysia has now been in Alham for three decades and is a senior member of the Great Circle, where she instituted an open call for apprentices without connections who might otherwise not have opportunities to interview or test. See Education in Chrenada .
