Rake Bluthalter
Lord Protector Rickart Fenrick Bluthalter (a.k.a. Rake)
The second Lord Protector of Kaltstad, who ousted the previous one through a popular vote. He went on to ferment rebellion against the Protectorates, seeking independance.
This was violently quelled by the forces of New Lafaelle and Helton, with assistance from the Empire of Novalucca.
Rake was exdecuted for treason upon the end of the failed rebellion.

Personal history
Rake Bluthalter was a charismatic member of the Returned. Like most of his peers his life was one of constant self-sacrifice - force upon him by the Ministry. In his youth he had worked as a farmer in the Order of Salvitas upon the snow fields near Helton, before being conscripted into the Shield to fight n the Dawncrag Wars. At the end of the wars, he was sent to take part in the founding of Katstad, where he toiled beneath the rule of the Lord Protector and the demands of the Ministry.
