Obsidian Palace
The Obsidian Palace is home to Resvarygrath, from where he rules the Golden Dominion. It sits on a mountain ridge above Dragonreach. A series of switchback trails lead up a hundred feet from the town to the castle gates, from where sheer black walls rise another thirty feet, with taller towers with pennants .
The palace consists of three sections. Two wings extend from either side of a huge central structure, and atop that building is a bell tower with several bells within. Most of the palace is built on three levels, with large hallways to accomodate Resarygrath in dragon form. Most of the interior consists of ornate gray stone walls with vaulted ceilings, lit by numerous glowing orbs. The floors are made of heavy marble squares in alternating black and white.
Resarygrath's throne room is immense, even compared to the halls. It is nearly sixty feet across and a hundred long, with numerous pillars and immense double-doors to admit petitioners. Bright lights illuminate it like the noonday sun. Three thrones stand at the end of the hall, widely set to leave room for the immense figure of Resvarygrath to stand or lay.
The West Wing of the palace is where the captives are kept and trained to serve by Essryl.
There is a secret escape passage that leads to a location to the north of Dragonreach.
