Aradla

The Bazdresra Sniarsti have been a source of many natural materials for both Eoion and Yzel for centuries. Due to this, both nations have set up towns near the mountains in order to trade with one another, refine the natural minerals into useable items, and defend their interests in the region. Aradla is the oldest of these cities on the continent of Seleim and has seen a great deal of conflict and prosperity over the centuries. For example, during the Fourth Great War, the city was temporarily captured by Ilya VIII Shiroko's forces, although it was returned to Yzel during the peace negotiations with his successor, Inna I Shiroko, and Kaelo Sranten I, the ruler of Yzel at the time.

Demographics

The town consists mostly of Yzelian citizens. However, there is a constant stream in and out of both Eoin and Vloibare merchants, some of whom have settled permanently.

Districts

The town is considered to be one large area by the local government. Even so, those who live there have divided it into two areas that have further been broken down within themselves. These are the legitimate side and the illicit. Like Padenet in the east, Aradla sees its share of both the legal and illegal.    On the outer edges of the city, particularly closer to the mountains, there are many illegal businesses, along with several gangs fighting for territory. Currently, the major war is fought between Seraphim and Seraph Rae. Seraphim currently controls most of the illicit area. Two distinct areas have been informally established. Seraphim's territory faces the east, while the smaller area controlled by Seraph Rae is in the west.    Toward the center of the city and out into the plains surrounding the eastern side, legitimate businesses keep away from the gang violence. Here, wealth is the main dividing factor in regards to both the types of shops encountered and the houses. Shops often double as residences and part of the culture of the city is to invite customers inside specific areas of the house as a show of mutual trust. Three basic districts have formed. The wealthiest citizens live at the northern end of the area, closer to the Eoin border for increased trade. Those in the middle class take the eastern side for the influx of Yzelian customers. Finally, the poorer class borders the illicit district.
