Fourth Great War

The Conflict

Prelude

Eoion wanted the lands lost in the Third Great War back and, using advancements in the Ilyannoi such as flying and spying specialties, they attacked.

Outcome

According to the treaty, Eoion took 2/3 of the disputed land and agreed to a limit on the number of combat ready Ilyannoi at the border. Yzel took 1/3 of the land and the Daji became a defensive force only. The lands that Eoion won were rich in gold, diamonds, and silver, while Yzel claimed sapphires, rubies, and other gems. Empress Inna I of Eoion was primarily responsible for the treaty and wanted something that would deescalate both sides along with divide the land to stop the two countries fighting over it.    The Lohdan family returned to power over the Tsere. Most in the Daji saw the treaty as strangling them and blamed the Tsere for being weak, thus allowing the Lohdans to take control.

Aftermath

Taras Shiroko I has repeatedly broken the treaty to make spying Ilyannoi that he primarily uses inside Eoion's borders. Although this is technically not a war practice, there are those in Eoion who worry that Yzel will take the increased production as a formal break.    In Yzel, the Lohdan family often sends scouts across the border to watch the Ilyannoi near Yzel. This is also in violation as they agreed not to cross the border unless there is an active war. With no open conflict, they could be seen as aggressors. The Lohdan are split regarding whether to keep up the practice.

Historical Significance

Legacy

Inna I is remembered as a peacemaker in Eoion and celebrated, although Taras feels that the cap on the Ilyannoi is unnecessary and the royal family should be able to produce as many as they feel they need.
