Roodnat works a lot of temporary gigs for wealthy nobles who pay him good money to head their cooking staff for feasts and celebratory meals. Roodnat is well-to-do, all the buckles he wears are gold, but given the expenses of travel, Roodnat would probably make more money if he accepted a permanent position in a royal kitchen somewhere but he likes to see new places and meet new people.
