Fauna & Flora
The majority of the wildlife in and around the isles lives in the sea. Cold water fish, seals, seabirds and more call the waters around Heimgard home. The isle also has a larger density of sea serpents than most other locations, leading to their prevalence in Heimgard mythology.
Above the waves, the forests of Heimgard are filled with life. Native species to the islands include (), but the orcs brought back some more. As they settled on the islands, the orcs brought back some animals from raiding, like pigs and dogs. A handful escaped across the ages, then populated wildly with no predators. Now wild boars and feral hounds run through the woods of Heimgard, their numbers kept in check by orcish hunters.
History
The history of the Heimgard Isles is tied closely with the Heimgard orcs. This loose confederation started out as a group of orcs who managed to escape their dyad overlords by sea. They sailed far, eventually finding the Heimgard Isles and making it their new home. They not only survived but thrived on these islands, spreading across the whole archipelago and even splintering into clans.
