Turing Winner Speech 2073

Dr. SETSUSHI: Alright. Thank you, thank you. I'ld first like to invite my partner in crime and wife on stage with me, Yuki Akiko, without whom E.S.T.A.I. wouldn't have been possible. Sometimes, in very rare occasion, briliant minds meet and find new ways for science to progress. E.S.T.A.I. was, how ever, just the usual case of idiots having luck, at least that's what I think.

Small laugther echoing in what seems to be a small room. Probably a small audience too.

Dr. SETSUSHI: Jokes aside, what does this thing actually do... Well, this might sound a little scary and crazy, but it reads minds.
Dr. AKIKO: With the help of F.E.D.I. Scans, we are able to create a map of every elctrical signals passing through each synapses of the brain. Those signals are then picked up by the A.I. which starts to learn to "think" like you, trying to map it's own neurol system like yours and understanding what each function does.
Dr. SETSUSHI: At first, we checked that the machine coreectly encoded what the brain was saying by having sensors on the subject's muscles and asking him to flex them. We then told the machine exactly what muscle were flexed through the sensors and it would then try to see witch synapses were receiving electro pulses in the same pattern than the flexed muscle.
Dr. AKIKO: Having all the synapses for each muscle in the body took us 2 years, but that was already a huge advancement. In application, this could unable brain surgeries to cure paralisis through synaptic surgerie.
Dr. SETSUSHI: I think she's coining the name here..

Another small laughter from the audience.

Dr. SETSUSHI: After mapping the muscles involved with speech, an idea came to mind. We took one of the simpliest sentence we could come up with--
Dr. AKIKO: Hello World!

A cry of joy and excitement this time rises from the public, some even repeating "Hello World!".

Dr. SETSUSHI: and said it outloud multiple times. The A.I. was able to link a thought process with the speech muscles as it picked up a pattern in synapses uninvolved with the muscles at work. You could E.S.T.A.I. learned it's first words this way.
Dr. AKIKO: With this A.I., we're hoping to be able one day to translate the human mind, giving us a better understanding of what it means to be human. With this new found knowledge, we could help the mentally ill, save thousands of lives and more. This is already being used in the neuroscience field by experts and students alike. It has already helped me fight my tumor and increased my life expentency enough to allow me to be here today so that tomorrow, others like me can be saved. Thank you!

The audience applauds cheerfully before the audio file comes to an abrupt ending.

Was a tad disappointed to see a [Audio log will be written soon!] But a further scroll was worth it! I love the little details your logs hold, and the interesting developments of Setushi's plot!

Sorry to disappoint, although I promise I'll get working on those audio-logs as soon as possible!!! In a way, I'm glad to see you want to know more :3 I hope the end result will be worth your like and follow èwé !

Holy shiiii, this is such a cool idea. I love the things with the [Access denied] and just generally the whole way your main body of text is written. I'll save this to my reading list, I'll look forward to read the audio log!!

Grab your hammer and go worldbuild! :3

Hey, thanks a lot, it means a lot that you enjoyed the article so much when it's not even complete. I was a bit scared to publish it unfinished but didn't want to loose a chance to write other articles. I'm glad you enjoyed it!   Promise, the audio-logs are my priority as soon as the summer camp challenge is over!

I love the format screw, it's giving me SCP vibes! The side quote is a touch hard to read due to the amount of text in such a small area, however. Is this going to go terribly wrong? ;)

I'm affraid so... haha! SCP? :3 What would that be? I'm a bit lacking in the reference department, don't mind my stupidity! èwé I do get what you mean, But I also want ofill my screen as efficiantly as possible, And since those audiologs might take some space... I will try to add breaks though, hopefully that will help. If anyone has any ideas on how to format this a little better though, I'm all ears! :3   Thank you for your read and your comment!

Oh boy. This will be a bit of a rabbithole for you to go down. Here. I'd suggest looking through the top-rated ones. It's horror-esque stuff, and I'm pretty sure you'll love it :P   Hmm, maybe you could expand the width of your quotebox a bit or use the spoiler bbcode to hide/show parts of your article to break up the space?

You just gave me an idea... I'm going to try and have a way for you to click on the right file/log under "select file/log" and make it open a spoiler with the content inside. hahaha! But this will have to be for later :3   The quotebox side is fine since it's taking maximum space, it's the side bar that might be a little too tight, but it is a sidebar after all... :x I'm still going to try and change it, since that's more suiting to my style ^w^
